I fell in love with the insight humanities give me about people — design is how I put it to work."

Hello, I'm Jaz — a UI/UX designer based in Taiwan, with a background in History and Foreign Languages.

Studying humanities taught me something that turned out to be the foundation of everything I do: how to listen carefully, read between the lines, and ask questions that reveal what people actually mean.

Today, I bring that same curiosity into UX — translating human behavior into clear, meaningful digital experiences.

HOW DO YOU THINK OF DESIGN?

HOW DO YOU THINK OF DESIGN?

I think of design as translation."

I think of design as translation."

I've always been drawn to what sits beneath the surface.

Not just between problems and solutions, but between what people say, what they mean, and what they actually need. People don't always know what they're asking for. My job is to listen closely enough to find it.

That's also why I believe problem definition is the most significant part of design — and the most human. The nuance of a conversation, a cultural cue, an unspoken hesitation. Those are the things that matter most, and the things that can't be shortcut.

To leave notes, spark a conversation, and — if we're lucky — inspire.

To leave notes, spark a conversation, and — if we're lucky — inspire.

Outside of work, I co-host a podcast with my friend Emily — a space where we think out loud about being in our twenties.

Growing pains, quiet shifts, the questions we're still figuring out. Equal parts personal record and open letter to anyone else navigating the same.
